Anyone who knows OneRail Founder & CEO Bill Catania knows his lightbulb moment for OneRail began with a refrigerator.
The “Refrigerator Story” goes like this: Bill’s fridge broke, he bought a new one in-person at a Lowe’s Home Improvement and was informed he would have to wait 10 days for it to be delivered to his home. Experiencing firsthand the glaring gaps in last mile, Bill and his wife, Co-Founder & COO/CMO Lisa Catania, mapped out what would become OneRail over their kitchen table.
Fast-forward five years to a full-circle integration with Lowe’s Home Improvement for a national 1,700-store rollout of last mile same-day delivery to contractors and Lowe’s Pro customers, and the company’s Likely to Recommend score skyrocketed from 5.0 to 9.1. All from the intersection of (1) Transportation, (2) Inventory and (3) the Consumer — creating a complete omnichannel fulfillment experience at the lowest cost and highest dependability for the popular retailer.
